A State on the Mend

A State on the Mend

A Poem by Zippora
"

How I view my state of being

"
Some people change- and then
there are people you didn't know as well as
you thought.

But sometimes, not usually but
sometimes- that is for the better,
and I know
what I am talking about.

The new alliances made cannot
mend the ones we broke, but
they will try.

Nothing has been broken
despite the many bruises.

Most bruises were self-inflicted.

Not everything goes according
to plan. That sucks. But no
died, so we did
ok.

Eventually things will return to
the good days,
with or without our now
war threatened ally.

You allow those to do inflict what we allow then we build armour. I like this piece. It's raw and honest. The scheme flow of your words is right on spot along with the emotive expression. RESPECT>
