ever feel like cats got your tongue
and it takes years to get a conversation
caught in a rung
heart beating like a bongo
rushing at you like the Congo
not sure who to turn to
in a word you're shy
wanna speak to someone who won't
pass it with a lie
just like gossip
in a broken telephone
feel like you got no one to turn to
you're in a whole crowd
but you are all alone.

argh, as someone who literally deals with this feeling on a daily basis, i think you got the helplessness and frustration of the socially-awkward down really well. being shy sucks so very, very much... *sigh*
