Starvation

A poem about how I have felt about a particular girl recently. She kind of consumes my thoughts so the hunger theme came up in my mind.

I’m famished for thoughts of you.

Your voice is like milk that feeds my soul

and it grows, with each note you sing.

I’m never satiated

I can always see more of you, and do,

every second I’m able to.

I hope one day

maybe I won’t be so ravenous

for thoughts and images of you.

Then maybe, just maybe,

I won’t scare you away too,

like I always seem to do

when someone is so beautiful, like you, and to me

so new.
