The Life

The Life

A Poem by Hurdy
"

Incarnate.

"

I've tried to tell you the truth
when the sky shines that delightful blue.

On the grass fields, I'm with you.
Shut those eyes now, sing to the moon.

Was there once a time
we were something divine?
We lived in the sky
and we could never die?

That's life,
That's the life I knew.

In the sunset, warm sepia looms.
I wander in the hue.
All the colors
are breathing
the life I never knew.

Hands raised,
pray the rising sun will give birth to them again.
Please Lord, have mercy on our young,
let them know and love

Those days are gone
when I felt the weight of the world on me
and those days are gone,
when I prayed for release.

Our prism hangs on the lifeline, casting rainbows onto the lake.
He says take your cup and be filled, I will never forsake.

And I awoke then,
I awoke then,
I awoke then, onto the living bed.
She awoke then,
She awoke then, to bear her mother's name.

They've awoken,
He has risen,
She has spoken,
she has called him, and they have called him,
Harbinger of Life!

I don't have a clue who I am anymore. I got lost in the music. I'm back now, because I remember being here is where I felt the most seen. That's all I have to say for now. more..
