Ah, wishing on stars. I've honestly only done this a couple times, but once during it, it felt like something so...personal and promised. You cherish the moment and hoping that star can make whatever you wish, come true. Like a fairytale, but in reality. Haha. I remember the scene from Lilo and Stitch. But yeah, I can understand why kids would wish upon a star, it shows that they still have hope for something, hanging on for just a bit longer and that one simple star can be just that thing to help them escape reality for a minute or two.
