Insanity - "The Plea"A Poem by ZeStrangeI laugh in their faces, the blatant stupidity. The geniuses … Never suspected my plea, and that I was perfectly Sane the whole time; I can read and comprehend every line. All in all, life’s been easy, I do confess. What I do in my room No one could guess. I plan and I plot when I am not drugged or I mutter and drool and bang my steel mug which frightens them all To no end, you see. Oh! The entertainment from one little plea. Yesterday the pretty psychiatrist came and is quite unwittingly Playing my game. I shall offer things to her that she’s figured out Life can not give her yet, and I‘ve no doubt that she’ll like Everything I have to give in exchange for my chance at a new life to live. A masterful plan by a brilliant man; my freedom is on the horizon.
