i know we have all these plans,

but when you get here

do you think we could

watch a movie?

 

i'd love to watch any movie with you

and if we do

sit

in between

the spaces of your legs

your arms wrapped around me,

taking one for the team

so i too shall take one

and feed us

with anything you prepped

for the movie

 

and if the movie gets thrilling

will you let me

take shelter in your comfort,

back up against you

as i seek stability, certainty

in that moment,

hide my face behind your limbs

as i dread the next thing

as we watch an arc

reach its peak?

 

will you let me

lace my fingers

with yours

in the in betweens?
