SunriseA Poem by zeraphim21Yellow spears cross the blue waste, The water glistens as diamonds-a light show, As it strikes the shore the waking sand, Reflects back with speckled glow. The prints lead down to waters edge, Then disappear beneath the foam, She stands and waits for morning light, Her eyes to the horizon roam. Splashing, spraying, each wave it hits, The sand of the floor cool to her toes, Here in this ocean scene she watches, As the strength of daylight grows. Golden hair frames eyes of blue, Shining greeting back to the queen, The flame of light seems to light her curls, As she silently takes in the scene. What fills her mind in these brief moments, Who can say but she, But marvel at the beauty must, Be an action shared by three. She gazing at the sun drinks in, The warmth, the light, the glory, The sun bidding good day begins, The telling of her daily story. And I surely luckiest of three, Look back and forth between, Pondering long in this pairing of gold, Who in this sunrise is queen? © 2013 zeraphim21 |
