The RoadA Poem by zeraphim21Walking 'long the path barefoot, Clay between our toes unhurried, Nowhere to be wandering, Nothing to do lazily, Faded jeans and tees comfortable, Like our clasped hands natural. Dressed with hair in scarf tied on, Yet in my eye a lady walking as per Byron, Time stands still as the air waiting, Willing the moment to last wishing, Laying in grassy hill watching, Clouds passing overhead bearing, Wishes of silent hearts wanting, Stealing them as they fade wisps, clear skies suddenly dark rumbling, Rain suddenly falling dissipating, The moment vanished in reality unsatisfied maw, Fingersclinging before slipping sudden ache, Dream shattered as the road fades fantasy. But someday to be found again Hope © 2012 zeraphim21 |
