A interesting poem that comes alive in the second part. With feelings that many can relate too in wanting to rid ourselves of the ghosts of our memories. It works how it is and it makes the reader think a lot despite being so short that said I felt it needed something more. The title and the second stanza appeal to me in a deeply thought provoking way.
to take away our memories is to escape the pain that serves a tension that builds strength - we learn unfortunately through scarcity and value joy because of knowing pain
lol, my friend, this simple and short poem was much better and stronger than my recent song and lyric 'Barricade' and you said that work of mine was powerful? Lol, I hope you're not wrong because this one is way wayyyy better than all my works combine...
Short but the second stanza manages to stir an uneasy feeling with a strong image. I'd like to see if you can challenge yourself to extend this (just a thought)
