Sight of Serenity

Sight of Serenity

A Poem by Garry Maan
"

Sometimes, you need to lose yourself completely to find your inner peace.

"

I travelled a road less known

And reached an acme of paradise

I sensed "peace” hidden nearby

Waiting for someone to give ‘it’ a try

I lost myself when I felt its aura

As I am a body of freedom with wings to glide

I spread my arms and hovered around

In hunt for that concord, with a prospect to shine

It was not that easy, the way I assumed

It took away something, I’d precious to lose

It felt like I am trapped in a gloomy void

I felt so broken; maybe it wasn’t a right choice

I thought of giving up, when it became real hard

A mystical voice called my name, stirred me to keep ensuing that path

And there I resumed a voyage to redemption

Pondered to succeed, avoided all mediation

The place I reached can’t be explained

I sat with ‘it’ and truly seized my brain

It made me feel strong, with all vibrant vibes

I felt so closed to God, everything sensed so right

There I realized, it was a tussle of fate

That anxiety meant nothing; it had no role to play

I am at peace now, eyes closed adoring this serene

I know you are here standing next to me,

Keeping “a watch over me"

Serenity is bliss and once found can often be returned to or never left behind. Thanks for sharing this inspiration.
