Chapter 5A Chapter by zelly60While Wren and Jasin were trying to understand everything, there was someone conspiring to get them and bring them to Scotland, just as the teacher had foretold. Gabriel was planning to get them. He was keeping watch over them. He had been doing that ever since he found out they had left Scotland. He was watching them right now. He had placed cameras all over the school while the professors were out getting them. Afterall, the protection they had placed on the school only worked when they were present. "Are you ready to get them?" Gabriel asked. He was almost positive that the boy wasn't ready, but he didn't care. He was running out of time. He needed them. They were at the prime of their magic. Of course, that was dormant, but it soon wouldn't be. He'd make sure of that. "No, am I qualified to do this? Why do I need to?" Ryan asked, he was about the same age as the twins. Gabriel had of course never told the boy why he needed them. He needed to give an explanation or the boy would never fulfill his job. "At one point in my life, I was the king's magician. So was the twins' father. We were friends at one point. Truly, the relationship between us seemed as if it would never crumble. We were like brothers practically. But that all changed one night. "You see, he didn't want anyone to gain access to his kids' powers, so he decided to change them from straight magic to something else entirely. He needed someone to try it on. I agreed to it, but I never knew that I would never get my own powers back. He made me a shapeshifter. I was distraught, he was ecstatic. Not at my loss, though it looked like it at the time. "Then he found out about my plans to take over the kingdom. He was furious. I killed him to prevent him from telling anyone. He told me that the only way to get my powers back was to kill his wretched kids and I plan on doing that." Gabriel said. He knew it was too much for the boy, but he didn't care. "Never mind, I'll get them." He said. He knew that the idiots at the school wouldn't recognize him. "But you said I could do it myself!" Ryan said. He could tell the boy was angry, but he couldn't do the job well. "No, you'll come with me though. I am a shapeshifter afterall. It will be easy." Gabriel said. With that, they left for Massachussetts. The twins held the most magic in all the world and they didn't know. That worked to his advantage. © 2008 zelly60 |
