Chapter 4

Chapter 4

A Chapter by zelly60

Wren was amazed that she and Jasin had the same dream. There was suddenly a scream. She turned to look as a teacher ran up to Professor Rainsmill. What was this about? Did this have anything to do the dream she and Jasin shared? The teacher whispered into Professor Rainsmill's ear, all the while looking toward Wren and Jasin. The students began to look toward them. Some of the faces held curiosity while others held hatred. There was no way anyone could hate them yet. They had just barely gotten there. The bell rang and all the students made a mad dash for the cafeteria door, as they didn't want to be late for their first class. Professor Rainsmill was staring at them as they walked out the door, turning shocked eyes on Wren and Jasin.

"I wonder what's wrong. Jasin?" Wren said, as Jasin was no longer beside her. He was at the door looking at the teacher and Professor Rainsmill speaking to each other.

"Jasin, we're going to be late! What are you doing?" She asked, going over to him. He just put his finger to his lips and looked back toward the door. She went to join him. Afterall, she was curious as to what was going on. He put his arm around her and she did not bother to shrug it off.

"Bradley, someone wants them. You did a horrible thing bringing them to this school. They shouldn't be here. The entire school is in danger!" The teacher practically yelled at Professor Rainsmill. He did not look at all afronted.

"Rachel, they have Gifts, we needed to bring them here, even if Gabriel wasn't going to come after the twins. You don't know that he's going to get them away from here," Rainsmill said. Rachel's eyes almost popped out of her head.

"Bradley, listen to me, he's going to find them and take them by any means possible. By bringing them here, you have just put the school into danger. The kids don't need this type of stress! You need to get the twins away from here!" Rachel argued. Wren could hardly believe her ears. They were twins? Why was this guy trying to get them?

"We are the only ones who can protect them, Rachel! I'm willing to take the risk to protect them! That is the end of this discussion. They must never find out until they are ready, which is not now, but it will be soon. They are going to have to learn of their past sooner or later," Rainsmill said. Rachel stormed out of the cafeteria without another glance back at the professor. Wren looked at Jasin, whose face mirrored her own - shock. Now that she knew their connection, she could see the similarities in their features. One thing was for sure, she was not going to get any sleep tonight. There was too much to think about.

This is very different than the original, but I like it better. Ignore any spelling and grammer errors.
