Totally with you on this one. I stopped watching TV years ago, well apart from downloads on my laptop. My TV is not even connected and is only used for X Box, but still people feel the need to ask if I saw this or that, despite knowing I didn't and then go on in detail about it and the characters I don't know and yes, there is no escape.
I like to think you killed it by repeatedly beating it with a baseball bat or shooting it. I think it would be a great release to smash it to bits.
Great words Zeitnot.

True, but at least when it all gets too much we can go kill some zombies to release the tension :)
I hear you. I avoid adverts like the plague. I only watch films or things that have been recorded..(usually Top Gear as my son and husband are obsessed with it and its really funny) that way you can fast forward through the adverts.

Oh Yes - how true your words are - liking it... TV the 'great controller' - I love the mute button for zapping the racket of the adverts if watching a good film! Once, (in my youth!) I took an old one apart as like to see how 'gadgets' are put together - got an electric shock though when chopping through a wire - whoops!!!
