I decided to read an earlier poem to get my Zeitnot fix ☺ It figures that I'd stumble upon such a mournful and vulnerable piece. As you know, I love love love short poems with grand meanings and this is the epitome of that for sure. Nothing punches you in the gut like finding reminders of someone whose story no longer includes you. With such few words you express the longing, pain, grief, and even guilt that comes with this kind of situation. Don't love the circumstamce that brought it about but I do Love the piece!

I prefer to be compact if I can, and really don't like long pieces very much. They tend to sprawl. You're right on the money with your review, too. It's funny seeing your pieces through another person's eyes, they can take on a life of their own, and I like that. I've got a couple of pieces in the pipeline. But they need a bit of work and I have deadlines. Always deadlines. But I ought to have a bit more time in a couple of days.
Zeitnot,
"Drawings" was a inspiration. I wonder sometimes what others will remember about me? I hope something. Who knows what others see in us.
We all finally give up our bodies and die. "She's gone now" but i found inspiration in something left to remember her by....
"But she left some drawings- so beautiful...I can't look at them."
This poem gives hope. I hope you have been able to look at her drawings and enjoy them and remember.
I hope your memories are soft and sweet.
Bless you much.
Kathy

Thanks for reading my poem, it's one of my favourites.
You've gone deep in your musings, and that's rare. Your honesty and candour are refreshing. These bodies of ours were not made to last. Why not embrace that fact?
I've been reading a lot of zen poetry lately and it really tackles this issue head on. Its fabulous.
The drawings are still there and every now and then I take them out and remember. But it's better they do not go up on the wall for now.
Cheers,
Z.

It is interesting to hear of your reading focus and I am pleased for you; that is, that you are finding it helpful and enjoyable. Life does go on and you are doing a good job of it! You are really fortunate to have your drawings. I find that really so nice for you.
Well as always, blessings to you.
I sure enjoyed your response.

Another ouch piece (I've found a lot of those on here lately), simple but beautifully expressed. A clear picture stained with old grief, an artfully crafted daily life scene.

This is something anyone who has ever lost someone can relate to. Be it a break up, a move, or growing up, or dying -- I really like this piece.
