There are no words

For this feeling;

Broken chair.

Empty cardboard box.

Lost in a strange city.

Looking at early work. This one is very forthright and to the point. Love it!! I have never written anything like this; short and sweet! Your list reminds me of images depicting a feeling of awkwardness and feeling a little lost. I can understand judging from the last line......... "Lost in a strange city" Bless you and I enjoyed reading a new poet's writing so much. Kathy

When you run out of words or find it hard to articulate a certain glimpse of a feeling, a temporary yet strong emotion. I like the impressios you listed. Sometimes sentiments are more like images than mere words however we need words (at least writers ;)) to let them come to life, animate them. At least that's my humble and poor interpretation of it.

Yes, I'm glad you found this poem, as I'm quite fond of it. It was, in fact, an attempt to articulate something very elusive. In starting by saying words weren't enough, I think I communicated a part of it. You know, how when we have certain feelings, it can be so hard to articulate them.
But I love words, and absolutely agree with you that we need them, that they are beautiful, and that we can use them to create and communicate wonderful ideas, images and emotions.
