Here Are My Thoughts About Growing Old TogetherA Poem by zeeMelpomene Act 1Here are my thoughts about growing old together: I think it's beautiful But sort of impossible Quite probable Yet it doesn't happen to all Here's an old lady She asked just maybe Is there true love of sorts? He says, "baby, of course." It's like how he swam Rapidly away from her She may have been damned But look, Melpomene's around He lives in a cliche She's running out of air He asked to be free Still, he's all caprice Melpomene, we're made of tragedy But would that mean, We can't control calamity? Watch him wander On his way to your arms I think he's expecting For a calm Two choices: Run for your life Or say for a lie The first choice is gold Second's just so screwed Are you going to choose The familiar side? Or make Another mistake Until her hopes had died? On this tombstone, Here lies my thoughts about growing old together
