Your Plastic Coffin

Your Plastic Coffin

A Poem by ZeeArsonist

small plastic squares should

do fine enough to keep

the past from leaking out.

i don't want your silence
or empty handshake.
i don't need your promise
like dust in my eye.

i will set these worn out never haves
every squarecalandarday that i've known you
inside a gladware coffin
so that once the dirt takes its place
i'll be able to walk by without holding my breath.
