Generation Y- defined as undefined. Simply cannot commit.

Gen y u no like me?

Language is entirely exhausting, because uncool.

I want to be Nobody so I can be Anybody.

Who reads books and enjoys them? Yeah, me neither!

I exist on a diet of glimmering possibility; supplemented information that gently strokes my selfie.

The internet gave us access, but what we really want is Excess. #rehab

I’m not going to school today because I need to go to the mall. Besides, classmate suicide kinda bums me out. What r u doing on Friday tho?

I took a survey today and found out that I’m someone else. Finally!

I am limbless. I am my phone.

The extrovert is the new introvert, as long as there is an outlet/charging station.

The internet turned 25; does this mean I can start collecting disability?

I’ve nearly flat lined, clinically. iSocially, I’m doing better than ever!

I have meticulously crafted my perfect life plan on Pinterest.

I will passive aggressively flame you on Twitter and thus reinforce my superiority while coolly masking my raging

insecurity.

Someone bring me this, visit me here, my needs are important to you. Supply a life hack.

My self-worth increases as I strategically subtract the flawed physical for the new digital.

I used to be you, but today I am on the blog.

Some people go to work to pay bills. I’m clearly too busy, so I’ll call Mom and let her know that my rent was due last month.

Veruca Salt was like, so ahead of her time.

I’m borderline celebrity. Thank you to all my tumbler followers, without you, I’d be nowhere! #irony

This job application asks me to “list my skills” and I’m over here, like, who even fills out paper applications anymore.

I was at the mall today and this salesgirl’s lips were moving in my general direction. Awkward!

I’m an activist. I shared this petition to stop animal abuse. It’s a big deal. *Mom is the only one who ever feeds the family dog.

Now, in all seriousness, what the hell are we doing? As a generation, our long term outlook is careening toward implosion. Science and Medicine have made significant advancements. Translation, we’re just living longer so we can die slower and document it on Facebook. We have all been united by WIFI and have consequently severed ties with humanity.

Generation Self Involved would be an understatement. Gen-Y(not) I exist/I do not exist. I want to be heard, but I don’t want to talk-talk to you; I’ll text you. Consequence no longer shapes our behavior; it’s more like a double dare gamble. Chances are I’ll get more followers, so it’s worth it. And really, you can prove/disprove anything that I may or may not have done. Everyone is a victim and everyone is a bully and everyone is going to mash elbows about it until nothing gets done.

In conclusion, Change is a personal insult. My importance should always be validated. Evolution is boring.

Or, more accurately stated:

Omg, this is so sad, the reading was awesome; poem-like. But the message, is so sad, because
it's not what might be or what could be; it is what is!
