Why I Write

Why I Write

A Poem by WriterNamedZeke
"

A poem about why I write and who I write for.

"

Why do I write?

I don’t write for me.

I write for the souls.

The injured souls

And wounded hearts.

For all the boys and girls

Who have dreams of becoming

Something amazing.

Ballerinas, astronauts.

The list goes on and on.

And I write for their dreams.

No matter what they’d be.

And I write for the boys and girls

Who just need to smile

Like you and me.

Because we all need to smile

Every once in a while.

And even those who struggle

Should dream.

Because I write for them.

Words can be something really beautiful when they are put to good use and when they are used for helping people. This is a lovely and compassionate poem :)
