Our Bed

Our Bed

A Poem by Amber

Last joint before lights out
-the comfort of a warm bed
Light can not find a path
-I only imagine what the stars look like tonight
Longing for something
-je ne sais que- but I search my dreams still
Lying down beside you
  -I fade into the night
Like a wisp of smoke
-you try to hold me in
Lately you can't sleep
-I have only myself to blame, my touch chills
Love shouldn't be this hard
-the soul of the girl on the couch last night
