A Note to My Daughters

Something I wrote for my daughter's about what they mean to me

You probably won't
ever fully understand
how you've touched my life
and made me the man I am today

could you even begin to know
just how truly special you are
and that even in the darkest moments
you are my shining star

I don't think you will ever fully comprehend
that you've made my dreams come true
and that you've opened my heart
to real love and magical moments

Because of you
I now know an
unconditional love that exists
in my mind, body and soul

I don't know if its possible for you
to feel all the love I have to give
and I'm sure you'll never realize
the will I have to be alive, for you

You are an amazing woman
and without you I would be lost
You and your sisters
complete my purpose and inspire me to more

You are proof enough
that God is real
and God is Love
I love you, baby

Your words give credence to the fact of real love being the reward just for what it is. You state that your feelings are your own and felt with no return expected. That is the kind of devotion and commitment needed in this tired world. Young people and children are meant to be loved like that. A safe place of acceptance their whole life.
