you wouldn't

you wouldn't

A Poem by z.chéri
"

Sexism isn't dead.

"
Say; you would not want
sexism lurking around,
so then, why do you?

Author's Note

This haiku is to highlight that often we demand for sexism to be dead while we ourselves indulge in sexist behaviour such as objectifying certain people based on their gender. This is for both; men and women. We all suffer yet we all must conquer. - Melody x (cheri)

It indeed does linger. It eats away at us as we demand for others around us to be less. These feelings can't be suppressed as it is in us. It runs through our blood. But where do we compromise with these thoughts and instincts? If we stopped, would that make us less human? Thank you for sharing a piece of your mind.

Ah yes sexism tends to linger. Maybe it's not always meant to offend. I like the way u express that in poetry. Kudos.

I'm quite a newbie here, Pleez do review, write your thoughts under my newest poem too. Luv making friends and am used to exchange of comments.

Somethings will be a on-going fight. Racism and sexism. People forget quickly. Powerful and useful words shared. Thank you for sharing the amazing words and your thoughts.

Very true, I hear a lot about how men objectify women, but women do the same to men as well. I feel like that needs to be expressed more, good job!

Sexism is very strong force. I can see myself how sexistic I am . Even I though I am liberal. It's like a prison and it's hard to find key to get out. Sexism is everywhere at politics, business, art, poetry. Etc. I am happy you bring this subject here so we can discuss this subject here.
