Justify jailbirdsA Poem by z.chériDedicated to victims of crimes.
How can you sleep at night
while the monsters call your name so invitingly? Don't you ever want to join them? Sometimes it seems fun to be careless and get away with it, doesn't it? Wouldn't you want to be innocent even though you're guilty? Did you go last night to visit these monsters who call your name until your name doesn't sound real anymore? Wouldn't it be fun to hurt people and get away with it? To just blame a religion that condemns this? Let's blame mental illness and not the soul. Tell me why you haven't gone with them yet? You could've been apart of the loss of 17 innocent lives. You would've gotten away with it. Because of mental illness. Don't worry they wont blame you only, they'll blame the weapon and ask for change in that only. They wont demand justice for you as much. You went with the monsters last night? How did it feel? How do you feel taking
innocent lives and the judge justifying your actions because of your mental illness? Because that is what we do. Justify jailbirds. © 2018 z.chériAuthor's Note
