![]() BreatheA Poem by zcam![]() Song Lyrics![]()
It was there on the sidewalk,
There were purple leaves falling
Through the breeze right beside her,
Was a little voice telling me to hold my breath,
Smile and a simple wave, and maybe she would walk my way.
Lady luck tossed her shoulder
But it wasn’t her I needed.
So I moved toward her, one step,
And it seemed like every other sunk me down,
My heart made my feet heavy,
They just wouldn’t really let me
Breathe, in my minds rejections
Breathe, out the right direction
Take yourself higher to a level where theres peace of mind,
And just leave the other side behind.
Maybe I can still make it
If I just put my arms out
Maybe shell reach and take them
And bring me back to her house
And we can reminisce about this way we met
How could we forget?
There were flowers,
Yes all these flowers,
No, I take it back, it was just her,
Sometimes all things beautiful blend into one
But she was different, she was special,
She was perfect, and suddenly its worth it to
Breathe, in my minds rejections
Breathe, out the right direction
Take yourself higher to a level where theres peace of mind
And just leave the other side behind.
Dont believe the differences.
You know we can conquer them.
Those who dont believe they can
Will only find the life is slippin through their hands.
