Eyes of desperationA Poem by zc2293A poem about the pain of everyday love in a modern society.
You, me, nothing else. That's it, we hold on to each other nothing else. You are my blanket, my sense of security. Hours and hours of starring at one other, your eyes are still with mine. The same sense of Beauty and serenity, you haven't changed, your eyes now rest with mine. Unchanged Beauty. Your eyes grow deep with pain, as do mine. We both hurt, feel pain and its so unbearable. It scares me to talk about it. I re-treat back to my place of security. The same state of nomadic hibernation that my mind so desperately craves. Every day i watch the pain in your eyes grow. Your eyes are now weak with pain and emotional angst. I see the torture that's now present. We spent every minute of our lives together, we grew a connection that connection now fades to a haunting near present mist. As time fades as do we. I see those same tired eyes, still they present unchanged Beauty and I couldn't love you more.
