Sweet treat

I'm dropping in for a bite, will Alex find her self being dinner or is she to sweet for his likings.

My mother and I just moved here, it was cold and snowing outside, the sun seemed to vanish like it had been swallowed by the clouds. I was only 17, I thought I was old enough to do what I want but even now I need special guidance. I walked outside to get fire wood and after a while I heard a deep rustling noise. Scared, my gazed inched higher and higher until, in the distance, I saw a dark lonesome shadow.
This is when it began. The shadows came closer and just as it was close enough for me to see its face it vanished. Picking up the fire wood,  I straightened up, I felt someone’s warm breath fanning my neck. He spoke to me in an angry voice but I didn't pay any attention to it as I felt his teeth sink into my neck. I wanted to scream but nothing came out.
Ever since that day I have had a thirst for blood and I can run faster than the speed of light, my skin is freezing and pale. That is when I remembered the stories my father used to tell me about the creatures of the night. I told my mother what happened, she was so confused, she took me to the doctor. There was nothing he could do. I was a changed person. Days and nights were spent on research and then one night I had my answer, there on a page in black and white; Vampire.
I doubted it, it just couldn't be right. Rethinking my search, it added up; I run faster than nearly everything in the world, I have a sudden thirst for blood and I have paler skin than ever before. It was true, I am a vampire.
One whole year has passed and I'm still not used to being a cold one. The feeling of blood going down my throat was horrifying. A year after I found out my origin, my mother died.  Since then I have had the loneliest year of my life.
Summer came along with the hot air but I never felt any of it. I missed the outside world; I can’t go outside any more for fear of losing control. I knew I would have to face it eventually, but I wasn't ready today, not yet.
Months past and I still hadn't been outside; I couldn't bring myself to do it. Everything had just started to feel normal for me. Then one day, I opened the door and stepped out into the fresh air. I walked around town. All of the buildings looked so different it was like a whole new world. I walked past the high school and there staring straight at me was a student his hair as black as night and eyes just as dark. He looked so normal but his beauty was too unnatural, was he human or a dark one?
