The memory of someone I've never met

The memory of someone I've never met

A Poem by Zatoichi
"

Words for Ivy.

"

When I read the old reviews I wonder how she's doing.

Is she sewing at her writing desk, weaving words and stitching metaphors into warm sweaters?

Does she eat moon cakes? or cold noodles on a hot day? Is she happy? I hope so.

I hope she's writing at her sewing desk and making fire for the cold winter nights.

Author's Note

Zatoichi
Sometimes I wander and let my mind wonder. On a jagged journey through the jungle behind my eyes, I found a memory of Hedra. I held it up to the light and watered it with words in the hope that Ivy might once again wander the walls of this humble cafe, weaving tapestries of song.
