Epiphany

Epiphany

A Poem by Zatoichi
"

late Gk. epiphaneia "manifestation, striking appearance"

"

With fear and trembling and fear,

I often dissemble and sputter incoherently,

and apparently it’s driving certain people

                   INSANE...

or so I’m told. They say "It's as plain as the nose on your face"

and I imagine the scent of sanity as freckled roses in warm rain.

I always wonder that you aren't visited more often. This makes me wish I possessed freckles. The kind that come and go.

you are one of my favorite poets . . . you say so much in your lines. Not plain, not sputtering or incoherent but always an adventure
