a corny thanksgiving poem 2018A Poem by Zatoichifeelin' sentimentali am thankful for home and health, warmth and comfort, friends and family, the car's still runnin', the sun and the moon at noon on a winter day and the way you make me smile. four years later i am thankful for the changes; often thankful for the faith to call upon the name of One Whose Name is Unpronounceable for the wisdom to live with what those changes have wrought. for continued home and health, warmth and comfort, friends and family still present; and i am thankful to have known those who precede me in slumber. i got a new car and it's still runnin', the sun and the moon still appear together from time-to-time and the thought of you still makes me smile. 2014 now and much has changed while much remains the same. Melancholy still plagues my mind from time-to-time, and gratitude is still the only effective cure. The pure light of reason and a full pantry keep me from flight and the inevitable fall. All-in-all, I cling to my blessings and sing Hashem Yehoshuah to all the loves I've known; for all the joys lived and lessons learned along the way. It's now near Thanksgiving 2020 and the whole world is as seen through foggy glasses and inhalers. The air is pungent with tears and gasses and there is virus everywhere. © 2020 ZatoichiAuthor's Note
