The Ballad of Chloe Madison, girl detective

a work in progress- bear with me

There once was a girl named Chloe

who possessed a heart both knowing and flirty.

She could hear all the words you didn't say

and reading between the lines was her specialty.

 

She knew George before she met him

(Jorge in the Ballantine Books Spanish translation)

as she was born with his shadow on her heart.

His disappearance spurred her transformation

from silly schoolgirl to

the nation's foremost poet-detective,

sifting her thoughts and spreading them out

on the Ouija board before you

 

as she searches every soul for one more glimpse of George.
