Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Zatoichi

He pokes at the keyboard and sighs;

the cursor blips like radar

tracking dead air.

words appear only to disappear-

one letter at a time

or in black-and-white blocks.

The beginning is always beginning

and the end is too possible to contemplate.

He’s stuck in the middle, mired

in the quicksand that is life.

I haven't written anything that has gotten me excited in weeks and months . . . I'm trying to be patient. . .

I like the way you put it, makes me feel like there might be strength in numbers

I can identify with your words. I have been there and its great to know that someone can write about how we as writers have difficutlies also. Thank you for putting this poem up and allowing people to read your thoughts.
