Vent

Vent

A Poem by Alex Davis

Vent

Yeah … I got some stuff on my mind,

I think I’ll write a rhyme,

 just sit and  unwind,

Call it poem or rap, this piece of mine,

I could care less, I’ve got some crap on my plate,

so to quote the above styles, step off and refrain thy hate.

You ever have that feeling?

That’s not one at all?

You’ve built yourself a dream house.

but you find your paint is peeling?

The floor let’s you fall?

Here You take it all like a man, silent as a mouse.

I’ve been told all I care for,

are people other than I,

I don’t know, It doesn’t matter,

I can’t take this much more,

I feel like yelling at the sky,

Why the hell can’t I grab  air!

It’s out of my grasp!

My life and my love,

I look at my feelings, breathe in with a rasp

Disgust in myself, I give them a shove,

All would be best,

If they were not there,

Breathe in with my chest,

Wear my heartstrings bare,

I can’t breathe, I can’t fight,

But I know in my heart,

That which I do is right,

I kick them under the bed, not a second thought.

For I am a speck,

I matter not,

I only wreck,

What I have sought,

I choke,

Almost croak,

For the smile,

Its worth it all the while.

Very well written. Sometimes it's best to just write down whatever we're feeling, no matter how good or bad they come out. It's always great to rant too, lol. Very nice :)
