Juvenile Love

Juvenile Love

A Poem by Xiamora Shaw

Fear. Hatred starts to evolve

Staring in disgust

Who you once claimed to love

But now it was just unkept lust

So soon missing the affection

The private jokes

Care and attention

The soft kisses and forehead strokes

Your identical grins

The thrill of mischief

The support through thick and thins

The crazy mindless belief

The intimate passion

The feeling of safe haven

The bewildering fashion

Adorableness that had you cave in

Missing love so real

Everything’s out of balance

Concealed feeling makes a heart steel

Hoping one day they’ll take back the absence
