The Pride of a People

The Pride of a People

A Poem by Shadow Walker

The Definition of Pride

1.Proper respect for ones own dignity and worth.

Like the Wolf " a guardian, protector, a family strong.

Like the Eagle " keeper of the sky, watchful ever vigilant, seer of the way.

Like the Owl " knower of all wisdom, knowledge of the future.

To take pride in ones own self and in the actions of ones doings.

Is to teach others to take pride in themselves and their actions.

To keep the strength of the family, the vigilance of the seer, and the wisdom of the future.

Is to make a people strong.
