Midnight Serenade

Midnight Serenade

A Poem by Shadow Walker

The grass is green as emeralds scattered on the ground.

The moon is liquid silver that shimmers all around.

The stars are as diamonds they twinkle deep within.

The trees sway to the silent beat as they dance with the wind.

The wind sings nature’s song and whispers it to them.

The waves are the rhythm as they come rolling in.

The crickets are the violins the frogs the baritones.

The dragonflies buzzing by hum a mellow tune.

The sweet scent of flowers fills the air with perfume.

Then when the song is over and the wind settles down.

The first rays of sun begin to dance all around.

The sun will sing a new song as the day is begun.

Till the night wind blows and a new song is sung.
