Twisting pathways of the mind

Twisting pathways of the mind

A Poem by Syke

Health is to wealth what stupidity is to government.

If absolute power corrupts absolutely

How can I trust your god?

Ponderous thoughts so rarely pondered

Give birth to things ugly and repulsive,

yet beautiful are the children of the children.

If I follow you in your descent to darkness

Two lights will be far better than one

A small glimmer of hope.

The Twisting pathways of the mind

Where shall they lead us

Deeper and deeper until the way back is lost

And those left behind

Forgotten.

Featured Review

incrediblely well devised, intentfully focused stream of prose that is built upon the idea of
hope fading into hopeless, as the pinnicle line brings the meaning to life,
If absolute power corrupts absolutely- How can I trust your god?
I particularly enjoyed the depth and consistancy which lends itself as a quality of contemplation,
which in turn draws the reader to ponder philosopically, thanks for sharing your talent.
