IgnoranceA Poem by SykeIgnorance is blissThere once was a place, Where everyone felt safe. Bliss without fear, Neither here nor there.
We'll never visit it again, It's always lurking within. The memory you can't save, Because you took while it gave.
If by chance you ever find it, Remember never to forget. At once we shall depart, To the destination in our heart.
On the path do not stray, Or you will never find a way. The mind can't guide your feet, The system moves to a different beat.
Together as a group we walk, Our though kept under lock. We try so hard to communicate, But all we're left with is love and hate.
You know your journey's near the end, When everything starts to twist and bend. Now is the fall towards temptation, Most never learn the beauty of creation.
Now make the final sacrifice, The soul now turns to ice. Stop now and lose your health, There is far worse than death.
The heat of love and faith and joy, You can't create when you destroy. The mind takes flight on shining wing, Heart and soul illuminated must sing.
The choice can't be unamde, The price of knowledge you've payed. Forgotten fears put end to flight, Want of breath returns the night.
Fear and hate and sorrow return, The memory shall forever burn. Our journey ends now in disgust, Want for truth has turned to lust. © 2008 SykeAuthor's Note
