Magnolia

Magnolia

A Poem by zainul
"

Written in Room # 3014 of Hotel Annapurna of Nepal.Dedicated to my friend Dr.Vinod Pandit.

"
Thank you magnolia for greeting again
Your flowers smile like white fairies
Your leaves emit tunes like rain
And flower buds sing like geese

I can feel your love,o magnolia
You bring joy in my heart
You remind me of my nostalgia
And invite me to admire art

But,I don't know your passion
Your history ,love pain or pleasure
I am amazed by your fashion
That always brings me precious treasure

I love your greetings in the morning
Magnolia,thank you for every thing

And I Thank You Zainul,
For bringing out the essence of the sweet aroma of your Soul.
You are always such a pleasure to read.
Whatever the subject you pour your Spirit over it abundantly.
You have a way of Blessing everything with pure dedicated Love.
You always bring me showers of joyful tears whether you are standing up for injustice and smiting the wicked deeds of the world or whether your heart is overflowing with abundant appreciation for Life's Beauty and treasures.
Your Heart is a storehouse of Love, Surely it is a Temple and I know God Lives there.
I always want to read everything you write. I know I will find Gods Love thru your words.

For me it's not what you write that I appreciate so much. I could easily sit like a child at your feet and be locked into every word you say.
I could sit beside you as a Peer and Discuss with you.
I could lie beside you under the clouds of the day and just listen or walk under the moonlight hand in hand and contemplate The world around us.

What an amazing Beautiful Soul you are Zainul.
I only wish you wrote more.
Your Friend and Sister,
Just me :-)

THisis a lovely poem. Maagnolias are wonderful flowers...their white, pure petals and sweet smell. I had a magnolia bush once, and I wish I still had one to greet me in the morning.

Thank you Jon for the wonderful review.
This is sweet -- I love magnolia trees, too. I really like the imagery in the first stanza. I think the 2nd stanza needs some work, though. Reminding you of nostalgia seems a little redundant, and the term "art" is rather vague. I feel similarly about the 3rd stanza. I think you may have started out with an awesome idea and then been constricted by the rhyme scheme. You might try writing this as a straight letter to the magnolia tree, and then tailoring the letter into a poem that feels right to you -- you might discover some other winning images!
