1. First Impression
- Simplicity
- Concise
- Lyrical
BODY
Subjectively, the first line refers to the act of "assumption."
The second line represents the "failure" to understand the "truth" about someone.
The last line is the perfected punchline; the grand finale of "self actualization."
FAVORITE QUOTE
"Fails to listen to its own song."
Honestly, this is my favorite line of the whole poem because it gives it the "lyrical" feel to the poem. It allows the reader to:
1. Connect
2. Appreciate
3. Love
CONCLUSION
Primarily, the "Mind" is a complex organism. However, "human beings" will forever remain "animals" of nature.
FINAL THOUGHTS
You are a wonderful teacher.
You are a beautiful poet.
You are Zainul.
The "Mind" is like a parable for me from the literal and metaphorical standpoint.
Happy writing!

Ria you have appreciated Zainul Sir's work so well...
Wow, I really like this one, it is so deep in its meaning. It is true, we often can help or see others hurt but hard to see ours.

Very apt. Often we know the minds or thoughts of others but fail to understand our own. Especially if we are focused on others more then ourselves. Very well expressed with so few words. Wonderful poem!!

We do get caught up in the thoughts of others, so much that we sometimes forget what we feel for ourselves. A good write, pulling the reader back to their own reality.

I do not insist to be overly selfish, but a reasonable compromise to heed both the self and the rest might be a better option.
