Ant

Ant

A Poem by zainul
"

Upset by the horror caused by ants that plundered into my computer

"
Ants are moving inside my computer monitor
I feel helpless where to find an exterminator

What the humans have done to the ant community
Why they come in groups to attack our property
Who is responsible to invite this menace
How can we get rid of such penance

Ants plundered our sugar and bread
They damaged clothing by eating thread
They eat flowers and roots of plants in the garden
They carry away food of pets and human
They bite and inject painful formic acid
I wonder why they have so much greed

I am totally upset by this tiny vermin
It has conspired to stop my writing

ants are to be admired for their communal lifestyle and their strength and intelligence. now, that being said..i worked for a major pest control company for 4 years. here is what to do. go out to the feed and seed or dept store and find something called "terro" ant traps. they will find it, feed on it, take the poison back to the queen and that will destroy the whole colony. that is the only way!!!!

I don't believe I have read a poem about ants before, but I enjoyed it. It's interesting how strong they are for how little they are. But you're right; we seem to wreck their world, and they do the same to us. It's a vicious cycle. Well written :)

I love how witty this poem is! At first, I thought this was a poem to support the ants but I enjoyed how you strenghtened the view on ants as "annoying." Very witty!

I soak cotton balls in a mixture of borax, sugar, and water and place them where I find the biggest concentration of ants. They're gone in just a matter of days. After that I spray all of the baseboards and corners with ant spray and place baits around the outside of my house.
