I love this. In the short poem you get the thoughts embedded that those who are truly great in life are those who performed acts to gain their 'awards'... I got the idea from this in which you are saying that those who have performed the deeds, but do not do it for glory, are not recognised for their actions..

Very interesting...the middle line, "Many left ignored for life." Makes you wonder if awards inspire all, how is that possible if many are ignored for life? And yet, the allure of an award is what inspires some to greatness...such a conundrum. I think you nailed it, "Great ones live in deeds."

my teenage daughter wrote a paper for fcat 2.0 a big state test in Florida...she won many contests with it-it is titled-Why when I try and win,it is about how artists (she plays the tuba)are so overlooked-football team takes third place in county the school and community have many celebrations-this same year her band group won 15th in the state they 1st in the county-they didn't even mention it on morning announcements -good deed doers awards-same lines the award is in doing the act it will not come from the community-hey zainul let us have our own award ceremony for all the forgotten gifts that so many have and give...Saturday good for you?

Nice Haiku and very true as well. There are many people who do things for rewards and recognition while others do things because they want to and the reward is in the deed that they do, rather than the recognition and therefore it makes them "great."
