Zainul, this is a nice short and sweet poem down to the point about a popular social website. Facebook has so many positive and negative advantages to it! Positive effects is that you can reconnect with family and friends. Check in and see what everyone is up to. Negative is that you find so much drama and news that you wish you would've heard maybe over the phone. (Ex: My mother scrolled down on her phone with Facebook and saw her stepmother's status about my mom's dad's health. That he was in the Emergency Room. We all wondered why couldn't she be more civil and give a call?) Anyway, I'm glad that you see most positive things about Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg, indeed was an intelligent young man to accomplish something so huge that's now popular to all age groups! :) Great job.

To each their own. It has played an important role in shaping my destiny ...for better or worse...I am yet to figure... You are a very thinking man...My compliments!

You're very welcome, Zainul! Anytime, anytime. And thank you very much. I sure will. :)
Now Zainul, Facebook is something so close to my heart!!!! It is my extended self. I've had so many good / bad experiences with it but I just can't stop using it. It is my second home when I am not mentally with my earthly immediate surroundings.
But, I would like to debate with you with on the point that Facebook is intangible! I have seen people finding partners through this platform. I have also experienced people breaking relationships because of Facebook's revelations. Then again I have seen marriages happening from initial meet up on this Book!! I have seen people cry, agitate, laugh, create revolutions and even getting arrested because of their involvement on Facebook.
Well all this because we are still social animals and no man is an island!! Facebook is far more than intangible..
You blow my mind with every write of yours Zainul!! Well done:)

Your contribution is pretty elaborate and which may help the general readers understand what is facebook in real sense.
I totally agree with your lucid description on many aspects, dimensions, merits and demerits of facebook.Just half an hour ago I met a person who told that he could find his friend after 34 years through facebook. This person lives in Bangladesh while his friend has migrated to Canada long ago and is settled there.
I welcome your nice view on intangible.I honor your views as already mentioned. Here my use of the word,'intangible' is used in positive sense.
You can read the following text taken from google search at:https://www.google.com/search?q=intangible&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&source=hp&channel=np
in·tan·gi·ble/inˈtanjəbəl/
Adjective:
Unable to be touched or grasped; not having physical presence: "cyberspace or anything else so intangible".
I hope this stand of mine will release the cause of debate and allow us to smile in relaxed mood.
Thank you again for the precious contribution in the deliberations of knowledge.

I admire your interpretation of the intangibility aspect of Facebook..totally with you now and so very thoughtful of you. Guess we can amalgamate our thoughts and we can offer a whole new dimension to the word 'intangibility' with regards to Facebook.
One way of looking at the intangibility aspect of Facebook can be attributed to the virtuality of its remarkably massive social space. If facebook is like God in way (guess I am exaggerting). Everyone is connected through it, gets involved, engage, believe, share, feel and etc etc but still feel God itself if intangible. In a way see it, feel it, think about it so on and so forth but cannot touch it. Guess its not just Facebook but the whole world wide web.
But in another way intangibility of Facbook can be explained using the theory of virtual relaity. Its kind of reinforcing the idea of augmented reality in someway. Our inovlvement in social networks name it Facebook or our very own Writer's Cafe intensly affect our lives. They become our extended selves. We tend to create our own little virtual spaces where we control how we share information with others in a very controled envoroment. Its not intangible anymore, because we kind of regulate it, control it and use it in a way that helps us portray a set image of ourselves.
I can probably go on and go about Facebook, Social Media and smiliar things for pages and pages!! Its all your fault now Zainul for posting such a thought provoking write up on Facebook..(Only joking). Thank you for it Zainul. Makes me actually think how incredible social networking is; here we are sharing intellect, engaged in a conversation in the form of packets of data that is being instantly transmitted via what not intangible satellite signals via a network of like minded people .
I will look forward to your thoughts to extend upon this thread!

But as I said I could go on for pages and pages, here is something that I found. A little extract from one of my University essays that I wrote on 'My consumption of Facebook and a Blog'. Here you go....
“What a person buys can be influenced by the image that the consumer .. read moreHere you go....
“What a person buys can be influenced by the image that the consumer has of him or her” (Sirgy, 1982). Hence, as I consider myself sociable and philanthropic, I used Facebook to demonstrate the self image to myself and others (Belk, 1988; Wallendorf & Arnold, 1988.) My usage of Facebook is the result of Self Image Congruity. (Sirgy, 1982; Sirgy et al, 1997). Facebook is the Extended Self (Belk, 1988) of my extremely extrovert, friendly and sociable personality. My usage of Facebook by and large reflects my identity. (Belk, 1988). The trait of Symbolic Interactionism (Mead, 1934) makes it important for me to maintain my relational dynamics with large groups of people. Whenever I use what’s in your mind application and shout to the whole world what I have been feeling at that moment, more like the looking-glass self (Cooley, 1902) I attempt to bounce back the signals off others trying to project the impression they have of me. (Solomon, 2009.Pg: 203).
Hence, the extensive usage of Facebook is just an attempt to discover the multifaceted self (Evans, et al, p 141) within me. In a private context I project myself the way I perceive myself and the way I would like to see myself. I control my outward expressions to a greater extent in order to understand what others think about me and how I would like others to see me. In a way I have been using Facebook as a Neuro-Linguistic Tool in order to modify my emotions and behavior.
Through Facebook I constantly engage in Self-Disclosure (Derlega et al., 1993) wherein I communicate my personal thoughts to others. But often people are reluctant to divulge personal information about them (Cialdini, 1993; Kelly & McKillop, 1996; Lane & Wegner, 1995) the only exception being, if there is adequate reciprocation. Considering my case, the Blog and Facebook, both display norm of reciprocity as the recipients match the level of intimacy in their disclosure as I do, tempting me to divulge more of personal thoughts and ideas. (Hill & Stull, 1982; Moon, 2000; Shaffer & Tomarelli, 1989).
Self-Disclosure and Relationship development are mutually transformative (Derlega et, al. 1993); therefore, I use Self-Disclosure as a tool of Neuro-Linguistic Programming in the manifestation of Facebook towards relationship development and maintenance. My interaction with people on the Facebook is based on how the level of Self-Disclosure transforms the nature of my relationship with an individual and further the relationship transforms the meaning and consequence of Self-Disclosure. (Berger & Bradac, 1982).
Therefore, my usage of Facebook complies with the justification provided by me earlier of my disparity with Cultural Dimensions of Hofstede. Facebook is the platform where I exercise every attribute of my Individualistic-Collectivist Characteristic. I communicate with numerous people yet I reserve my thoughts and ideas solely to me and control the divulgence of my opinions, thus preserving my Individualistic-Collectivism.
In case of both the Consumer Behavior Blog as well as the Facebook, it was not the situation of Consumer Hyperchoice (Mick, Susan & Haidt, 2005) in my decision making. As a decision maker my rational perspective incorporated economies of information and aspiration approach to decide on the usage of the Blog and Facebook. My consumption was based on utilitarian assumptions (Simonson, Huber & Payne, 1988) to fit in to my needs and worked out as Opportunity recognition (Bruner & Pomozal, 1988). Through constructive processing I identified my needs and tailored my degree of cognitive efforts (Bettman, 1993) in order to identify channels or possibilities. My decision was directed to many alternatives based upon my specific needs which again through the process of mental accounting (Belsky, 1995; Thaler & Johnson, 1990), that is by weighing gains and loses out of my course of action in order to identify the appropriate channel of opportunity for need actualization.
The result of my decision making process was satisfaction of my needs and desires. By the consumption of the Blog I gained recognition, uniqueness, realized my potential and gained edge over others. On the other hand, Consumption of Facebook enhanced my interactability and facilitated self-divulgence and self-expression. Above all, the Dad Factor, explained earlier is also a major external determinant in my Decision Making Process.

The speed of development in the arena of social media, innovation, technology, marketing, behavior or education is so intense that your findings may lose their utility soon.

Yes,sometimes the world becomes too small.
But,sometimes even a fragment of world becomes too large to escape.
Perhaps you are aware of the devastating fire that has burned a garments factory in Ashulia, Bangladesh.About 170 individuals died there inside the multistory building of the factory. That building was the exclusive world for those ill-fated individuals who were burned to ashes.
They longed to leave the world from each direction. But flames engulfed them from all corners. They could not get out of their world. It was too large for them!
Sorry,Prathama I am feeling very bad since the disaster took place here.

What amazes me is that countries like India and Bangladesh manufacture several goods for the Western World under minimal working conditions. When here even the minutest of things have to comply to Health & Safety regulations, even though the proximity of such a nerve racking incident happening is very rare, nothing goes towards improving working conditions of our people out there. Fire being one of the most engulfing hazard.
My hometown is in the state of Orissa (Near Calcutta but a different state all together) guess you might know. To be more precise with you it is in Baripada. I grew up there as a kid and my worst memories of fire dates back to 3 major incidents I've experienced. One being a congregation of religious followers burnt alive about 500 of them. The second being burning alive the Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two sons (Philip and Tim) who were my childhood friends. This was the case of violent killing due to religious intolerance. And the 3rd one being me having experienced it myself when our house caught fire while we were sleeping one night while it was half way through construction.
Whenever it comes to any fire related incident even when I hear about it, brings in great fear in my mind. I believe we should have better Fire Safety regulations in our countries. Aftermath of such incidents leave everlasting scars.
Hope things get better around there soon.

For getting your article published in a journal,I think you may search journals on social behavior, psychology or marketing and examine the desired formats of their papers. These journals have "Notes for Authors or Contributors" which may be helpful for redesigning the article to tailor it to their needs.
You may also consult your professor,Matthew Robson who recommended you in LikedIn or any teacher of your university about publishing the article. They can advise you on publishing the nice article in the suitable journal.
Hope you will start consulting with them soon and get it published before it becomes too old.
