Forest calls me again and again. Forest tells me to feel her pain.
Feller cuts trees like slayer. He does not give heed to her prayer. Birds and butterflies flutter in fear. Ferns and flowers shed their tear. All other wildlife cry for life. Cruel feller growls with knife.
Forest calls me day and night. Forest cries to see her plight.
I pretend to be busy over greater task. Nobody knows me under my mask. I give lecture and write against felling, People get charmed by story telling. They give awards for my deed! They chant slogans to inspire my bid!
Poor forest calls me again and again. Her frantic calls die in vain.
I must agree with C.P. below. This really got my attention, because I love and have a great appreciation for nature. We are all energetic beings, even what would seem inanimate. But people have long lost their balance, how to give with one hand and take with another rather than just take with both. Thank you for sharing awareness and prompting mindfulness.

'Her frantic calls die in vain.'- a perfect ending to a poem that reminds us that nature created people, not that nature was created FOR people; we need to open our minds and hear the cry of nature that human kind so easily destroys every day!

Thank you Ivanna for elaborating the philosophical background and wonderful review.
Yes the forest calls. It calls me, too. I also find that I am too busy. It does take extreme pressures to get people to react. To get people who are negatively motivated to take action is even more difficult. The world's rain forests are being systematically destroyed. When will we take action to stop this? This will be especially difficult since those clearing the forest want new farms to grow food, wood to build, etc. Difficult. When will be move? What will it take? Will we take action too late?
Thank you Rick for the illuminating review.

Because to solve the problems, states and peoples must collaborate and comply.
Thanks for supporting the noble cause strongly.
This is a very emotional piece, Zainul. I love the repetition ("Forest...") because it really emphasizes on the seriousness of your tone, and also the message. Beautiful work, dear friend.
