Inspired by a photograph of a friend

She is happy with her work in the fruit garden.
Her smile wins the hearts of all gentlemen.

She works all day now and again.
She likes dry day without rain.

  She is a farm girl who lives on the plain.
Her smile will bring you joy and beat your pain.

very endearing and an enjoyable read, very descriptive of the character's love and loyalty towards gardening, the earth also of her basic character, one that self-sacrifices for the sake of other's, one who is tender heart-ed. very reminiscent of once again nursery rhyme perhaps farmers would tell their children about the importance of giving back to the earth, growing your own food. almost reads like a sonnet. a lovely write. thanks for sharing :)

She sounds like a peach of a gal, farms are wonderful places to grow up for girls to inspire poets lol, jk, I don't know why but this poem reminds me of the painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring " by the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. so wholesome :)

I usually try to universalize most of my writes as this site is universal and readership is spread over many countries and cultures.
I would feel myself successful if my readers can relate my writes to their own situations.

This is really sweet, there is just something so satisfying about growing your own food, looking out over the land without a house in sight, the rolling hills, the bellow of livestock (the smell is not so grand) there is a godliness to be so immersed in the dawn when the c**k crows.
