Sometimes I can't understand a poem or a story fully. But,I can understand it after sometime upon repeated reading or reflection.
Recently, one writer expressed her inability to understand a Haiku written by me while others understood well and wrote reviews.
I really felt sorry for her and tried to explain from my experience and understanding.
I am sure there are some experts in this site who can explain this phenomenon from scientific point of view.I invite generous suggestions from the learned writers.

True perception varies, everyone forms a thinking according to his/her own experiences and sometimes as we are well connected with individuals from other side of globe there might be stark differences in thinking in some cases.

Yes,I appreciate your precious view.I completely agree with you that true perception varies, everyone forms a thinking according to his/her own experiences.
Your input on the variation of perception due to differences of geographical location may be a great point to ponder.I like to add that languages might influence in perception.
I hope a bunch of psychologists, linguists and relevant experts will join the conversation and enlighten us in this regard.
Thanks for the intellectual contribution.:)

yes you are right on the count that language also influences as simple as a fact that a word may mean differently in different language and might bring about different reactions when spoken.

This is amazing , Zainul. I know in your "about me" you claimed that you regret not publishing your work earlier. I am so elated that you did, because I love your work, my friend. Great job :)

The haiku is the ideal form in which to express this thought because its brevity would seem to suggest a single answer whereas poetry is manifold and complex, and isn't easily resolved.

Thanks for your admiring review.
This will inspire the haiku writers.
I am not an expert, nor will I ever claim to be. We all vary our own perceptions of things, depending on what and when we are doing something. For example... is eating ice cream more enjoyable if eaten from a bowl or on a stick? And are both trumped by eating ice cream with a child?
Sometimes we look for answers in all of the wrong places. Other times, the answer is right under our noses and we miiss it entirely. It is human nature to examine and rethink solutions to problems and mysteries that we don't comprehend at first. And sometimes, after awhile, that ol' light bulb goes off in our heads and what was cloudy becomes crystal clear. Such is the nature of our race.
Very thought provoking senyru...

In fact, this site may be considered as an online school of literature.
The inability to create perceptions or meanings depends on the way the brain processes information. There are different levels of mental capacity and I don't even know what level I belong. It also depends on the spand of time you've been into poetry. Haiku can be learned as what ancient Japan did centuries back. I for one didn't know about Haiku until I joined writerscafe and also had a problem understanding it because I never studied literature.
Anyway the poem clearly states that perception depends on how the audience understands and interprets the poem.
