very nice n humane composition. people are ready to watch a semi-naked or even naked body in public but feeding a hungry baby if brings criticism, we ought to stand against it. lust of grown can be held down but holding down a hungry baby- A BIG NO. It has a right to live and food, a food that is natural and most appropriate and pure.

I am not sure what a Lactivist is but I can relate to this. I breast fed both of my children and I never had a problem with breast feeding in public except for a few weird looks. Thanks for the great write.

I also nursed both of my kids. I fed them wherever, whenever they were hungry. I hate that people get offended by a breastfeeding mother, but those same people have no problem with Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction," or Britney Spears' nude-colored catsuit.

RIGHT ON TO BREASTFEEDING MOMMIES! I worked as waitress, and I breastfed my child as well. I remember twice a time when a women came into the restaurant where i worked and needed to feed her child. She blushed when I had approached the table and asked if it was okay. I told her she had every right in the world to feed her child, she was at a place that feeds people. She felt like she was getting rude stares, so I offered her a table cloth as cover, since she didn't have a blanket. And I glared at anyone who looked her direction. Breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world, it might even be why my daughter is so smart herself ^_^ Who knows. I apologize for my rant, this simply piqued my interest and own story. Though I myself only fed my daughter away from prying eyes, and thick blanket was my best friend.

Actually the poem was inspired by the news on a real story of a mother who entered a cafe in Bristol where she was misbehaved by a waitress for suckling her baby in the cafe.She was also terrified by the waitress.The mother posted this event in facebook.All mothers were angry and they decided to protest against the incident.You can learn about the details about the incident from the following link:
