A Poem by Zaccaroo

As I lay here feeling deep and hollow,
I thirst nothing but your presence.
As I hide beneath the sorrow,
I hear frail bones turn to ashes.

But mum, I remember when you told me,
'tis why I looked up to the sky,
As with bold courage you stood and said thee,
"love, always keep your head up high."

As shadows settle on the emptiness,
we cross each hearts and count our lists,
of broken vows and shattered pasts, you'd say,
"you'll find love honey, it exists."

As many days in number comes to pass,
our love for you, remained steadfast.
Know that we'll live up to all your teachings,
with full regards to things that last.

Thank the heavens for letting our fates intertwine,
for you have given us all your light.
As if all the stars in the skies combined,
you showed us the path and kept it bright.
