OnwardA Poem by Zaccaroo
I remember being inside,
where people rush to hide. Away from your unfathomable stare, god how it made me feel so bare. I remember sitting in a corner, Away from everyone and all their horrors. Setting up my own walls, As if to guard me from my own downfall. I remember talking to a stranger, Thinking I knew him, I didn't reconsider. But then things came then burst a thunder, "Ungrateful kid, why to a teacher?" I remember feeling... nothing. After all those times I felt everything, Tried to convey what made me suffer, Ended how? Got torn asunder. Here I am standing on a ledge, Feeling nothing, eager for the edge, Right then and there, one foot forward. "Deep breaths, honey, go on... go onward." © 2017 Zaccaroo |
