Her

Her

A Poem by Smokey

The cool breeze on a sweltering day

A ray of sunlight amongst the smog and the haze

Innocent laughter in despair and grief

And summers warm kiss and its gentle relief

She smiles, and my quandaries crumble to dust

Her soft embrace invoke's my lust

And for a day, she did remain

In my arms, without disdain

Yet alas, that day did pass

And I had to grasp, that to her I too had come to pass

For a deity as her, could never be

Monogamously betrothed to one such as me

But tears i don't shed, and I shall not weep

For I can do little more than offer my heart, her's to keep

And look back with nostalgia and pray

That I might once again kiss the girl, of springs first day

A profound description of how you remember her and the season and link the two. "Innocent laughter in despair and grief and summers warm kiss and its gentle relief" this says it all. a very good job, well done! :)
